| I have had my car in for repair and have sent many folks to CARS!! I think one of their biggest plus's is that Randy, David and their staff knows what they are doing!!! They don't just guess what is wrong they know want the problem is and they fix it. They don't repairs that don't need to be done like some other shops in town do!!!! You need to try them, they WILL FIX The Problem not hit or miss. No body works on my Cars but CARS - Covington Automotive Repair Service. | I was in a jam 36 miles from home and vehicle would not start I googled a repair shop in Covinton and picked this one since it was close by. they sent a tow truck and took my vehicle to covington Auto Repair Shop. After about 30 minutes the diagnosis was bad fuel pump. i needed the van back that day and they went to work on it and in about 3 hrs. I was on my way. The people was friendly and courtious and I would definately use this shop again if needed. I just want to thank them for working with me to get me going. Art |

| I was in the process of taking my daughter back to school at Oxford when I noticed that I had a nail in my tire. Covington Automotive Repair was the first shop I came across. They patched the tire in under 15 minutes and for under $15. I live in Decatur but I have told my daughter to take her car there for any repairs while she is at school. Great experience. |

| Rip off. They took my car for about an hour and came back and said they couldn't find nothing to repair. And charged me $50 for doing nothing. |
| Shop Comment Ms. Johnson, This is what you asked the service writer have a technician to your car: "HOT OIL LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND WHEN IT GOES OFF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON ANOTHER SHOP SAYS THE TRANS AND ENGINE COMPUTER ARE NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER AND IT IS STUCK IN SECOND GEAR". We first tested your cooling system to make sure it was working as designed. After that, we checked your computer system to see why the check engine light had come on. We tested the systems corresponding to the codes found. Those systems passed. We also tested communication from the transmission computer to the main computer and there was no problems found with communications. We then test drove the car to see if it would run hot or if the check engine light would come back on. The shop manager then spoke to you about our findings. You decided to take the vehicle and see if any more problems arose rather than leave it with us and allow us to continue driving and testing the vehicle. At least you knew that we had no found anything dangerous or something that would make your vehicle overheat. The technician that worked on your vehicle worked on it for an hour as you said. This is how he feeds his family by the work he does each day. The shop manager only charged your a half hour for the one hour of work done to your vehicle. He also told you we would recheck the vehicle if those problems reoccurred. |
